What does Memorial Day mean to you?
Memorial Day signifies a time to place special emphasis on the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great country - the USA. Many memorials, parades and celebrations abound this weekend with the theme - We honor those who serve. The weekend is upon us and the weather is crystal clear. For many, Memorial Day signals the beginning of summer. It's a time when children start jumping in the pool and having fun. Families are taking out the summer clothes and enjoying the weather and barbecuing. What are you doing this weekend?

Talking about and playing video games seems to be one of the most popular pastimes. Maybe it's the excitement of winning. Video games seem to have taken the place of good old fashion socialization. Music-TeenTalkAbout It is amazing what is happening in the music world today. What is it that teenagers want to hear? Some songs are so fast that I can hardly tell what the words are, however, they are catchy just the same. Teens still pick up the words to the songs fairly quick. Interestingly, many teens know so many genres of music. I hope someone blogs me back to clarify what kind of music is really out there. What is it with the language in songs. Some stores have cd's that have different versions of the music (maybe for tweens and preteens) without the additional choice words. What stories are being told in the music that is selling today? Are these the stories of our cities? Who are the respected singers today? What is it that makes a singer popular - what message is being conveyed to teens and how do they feel about this message?
